Chances for Columbia?

I'm only a sophomore, but:
My GPA at this point is roughly a 94 (my school doesn't weigh grades). I'm aiming to bring that up a point or two in junior year.
My SAT score at this point is about a 2000, but I'm only a sophomore so I'll do better next year. Aiming for a 2250
I am an oboe player, all-county for the past 3 years and will very likely be in all-state next year.
By senior year, I will have been on the varsity swim team for 3 years.
I'm a math team member as well. I'm not amazing, but I'm roughly top 20 in Nassau County.
By senior year, I will hopefully have had two years of summer hospital volunteering under my belt, which should be helpful as I'm hoping for pre-med.
I was accepted into the Columbia Science Honors Program freshman year. The program is very competitive, and entrance standards are very high. The program is offered for incoming sophomores, juniors, and seniors.
By senior year I will have (hopefully) taken 11 AP classes and 6 honors classes.

Any hope for Columbia? I might apply ED.

I think you have a decent shot. It will still be a reach, though. Columbia, as well as all the other ivies, is so difficult to get into that you will probably want to look into other top-20 or similar level schools.

Get up the GPA, break a 2200 on the SAT, and improve and get a leadership position in your ECs and you could be competitive. You have a lot of time to improve your stats, so it’s doable.

As of right now it looks like you’re on your way to having a good app but it’s hard to chance you until you’re at least towards the end of your junior year. Keep working and come back in a year…

What can I do to show leadership? Like what clubs or activities are there

Forgot to mention, my SATII scores:
Math 2: 800
Math 1: 750 (retaking it)
Bio: 730 (most likely not submitting)

Wow I’ve never seen a sophmore with SAT II’s.
I agree with nyc, it’s a little tricky to chance you so early.

you are definitely on the right path. Try to be a leader in your respective clubs (i.e. math club president, swim captain, etc.) Your early and impressive interest in the school will help you out.

I’d consider you to have a 60% Early chance

I realize it’s early, but I’m just wondering if I continue with the grades and activities that I’m getting now, are my chances any good?

Don’t bother taking Math 1 over. Having Math 1 and Math 2 is like only having one math, the first one won’t matter and your Math 2 is perfect. Try taking a different subject area instead.

I think your chances are as good as they can be at this point. You’re on the right track, just keep doing what you’re already doing.
