Thanks for your feedback!

You look like a really solid applicant. CS at ut is tough but you have a great chance of getting in given your rank, math scores, and your numerous awards.

@danfer91 Thank you!

I believe that the previous reply was for UT Austin… Please also chance me for Georgia Tech, Cornell, UC Berkeley, UIUC. Thank you!

CS is impacted at Berkeley. Your current scores are not strong enough. You will not receive any financial aid at any UC school. Can you afford $55k per year?

On your list, I was accepted to only Cornell and UT Austin. I can tell you about my college experience, but I do not know how far it can help you, as you are applying as a foreign applicant. I am Chinese-American, applied domestically.

In general, your class rank is enough to basically guarantee UT Austin. However, they gave no financial aid to me who applied out-of-state, I imagine they give even less to international applicants (unless Texas residency counts towards the lower tuition cost). You seem very hardworking, so I’m sure you’ll have no problem dealing with the course load.

Admissions becomes iffy at Cornell as a member of the Ivy League. Your GPA might be a little low, as they weigh that a bit more heavily when compared to other schools. Your SAT could also be higher (mine was 2260/2400, only took it once); and have you considered taking the ACT?

After that the process becomes more subjective. What kind of essays will you write? How will you apply, leaning towards engineering or more to the arts & sciences side? How are you going to present yourself in relation to your interests? What will set you apart from similar applicants? The info you’ve given us merely constitute the ingredients for the meal you are going to present the admissions committees. How you cook them is up to you, and that might just decide everything. I have friends who have scores and grades close to perfect, far more achievements than I did but were ultimately rejected from these places. All I can say is good luck and to hope for the best.
