Chances for Cornell, Dartmouth, CMU, Brown?

I am an Asian male born in the USA. English is not my first language.

Here are the major things –

My UW GPA is a 3.6. My weighted GPA is a 4.4. My SAT score is a 1550 (800 math + 750 verbal). SAT Math II: 800. I’m taking Physics in December.

I have taken (including this year) 12 AP classes. I have also taken Multivariable Calculus, Differential Equations, and Linear Algebra. This year, for math, I am taking Abstract Math, Real Analysis, and Complex Analysis. Next semester, I will be a teacher assistant for Multivariable Calculus at my local community college.

  • I got a perfect score on an AP Exam (different from getting 5; got a letter from the College Board for it)
  • Have been conducting research on a graduate-level math topic at a university for the past 6 months. I was there full-time over summer, and I am there part-time now. Research paper has been published in two research journals, one of which is an international journal.
  • Microsoft Imagine Cup Semifinalist (developed an app in a team of 4; semifinalist among international undergraduates/high school participants)
  • I made a robot in a team of four for a robotics competition. Won state competition and represented my state at national competition.
  • Co-founded a couple clubs; member of some others.
  • US Astronomy Olympiad, US Computing Olympiad Silver Divisionist (hopefully gold by December).
  • Physics Bowl 6th place in state
  • Qualified for state ARML team, some other math competition awards.
  • Made an anti-bullying app, recognized by Senator. Made another pro-environment app, won at a couple hackathons.
  • Tutor multivariable calc
  • Played piano for national guild
  • Founded a couple clubs, president of another, member of few others.

- Some (not very significant) amount of volunteering.

The above doesn’t include everything, but it includes what I believe is the most significant.

my gpa without freshman year or high school classes I took in middle school is like 3.86 uw. had some ongoing medical issues before that.

Wow. I think you have a really good chance at getting into all of these schools. I advise you to apply to some more reach schools like Columbia or Stanford. You can get in with your stats. What do you plan on majoring in?

awesome job… you have worked hard… chances are def great togetting into any of these…
all the best toyou…

Apply to more ivies, you have a really good chance.

Should I explain my medical reasons in my additional info section? I had surgery, and I missed several days of school up until the 10th grade (I had straight A’s ever since I had surgery).

Also, if anyone wants more specific info (e.g. what my Microsoft app was about / what exam I got perfect on / other minor awards), I can PM them.

Thank you so much for all of your responses. Does anyone else have any input?
BTW, I am planning to major in mathematics / operations research.
