Very common candidate, but yes.

Your ACT score is low. Raise it to 34+ to have a realistic chance.

Great ECs! What’s your intended major, if I might ask, as I believe that can affect admission? Your stats are competitive, but there isn’t much to distinguish you from the mix with what you’ve presented here - I’m sure you’ll shine through in your essays, however. Best of luck :slight_smile:

Here’s mine: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1825819-for-my-list-extensive-p1.html

50/50.
California helps.
Asian hurts.

Also your EC’s aren’t very focused, but if you’re generally interested in all those subjects; that’s great.

@FinelyAgedPruno 4 of them are health related which is the field I want to go into also the summer courses I took have to do with science too (biotech and ap bio)

@SirPepsi chemical biology

@uclaparent9 I see a lot of kids on Cornell CC page get 32 ACT and get accepted. Actually I have seen more 32 range than 34 range get admitted.

@penny47 that’s quite interesting

@penny47 I was taking you seriously until I read your second sentence!

(Though you, unknowingly, may be right as the number of applicants with 34+ are much less than those in 32 score category. What counts is the percentage of admitted kids in each category not the actual numbers.)

Stats wise you are very solid, although your ACT COULD use a boost, it’s not 110% necessary to get accepted. Your EC’s, while very good, are kinda stereotypical “asian” (pre-health stuff), although I think your involvement in sports should help to counter that. Your Rubik’s cube EC is actually DAMN cool.

I would say you’re still a low reach for Cornell ED. I think you got a solid shot. But Cornell will be Cornell and you can never know for sure.

Good luck!

chance me? :slight_smile:
