@sgopal2
I wanted to portray how I’m a “jack of all trades” type of person, because I don’t really focus on one aspect, so I don’t have enough achievements in a particular sphere to show them I’m the next (xyz). I can now see how that may be a disadvantage though.
That will be the end of you. Nobody wants well rounded
@hhjjlala ah, dang it.
Okay here’s a question though :
If I’m applying for computer science, how could I show them that I’m the next great programmer? Example for acting, someone could show how they took part in numerous dramatics competitions, send a performance video, etc.
But there isn’t much you can really show for something like comp sci, or even sciences like astrophysics right? So wouldn’t the best thing be to show that you have a dedication and interest in different things as well?
Am I wrong?
Thanks!
@samc24 You can design an app, participate in the IOI, design websites for local businesses, etc.
The next great coder:
programmed an app on the android and apple app store
published in academic peer reviewed journal of computer science
presented research poster at congress
patented a new algorithm that does xyz
creates a new easy to use system to make programming easier for kids
