My high school is pretty crappy...

I think I might have a chance but my GPA is too low! How important is GPA?
I think that my reach school is Cornell, Notre Dame, Johns Hopkins and Georgetown.
and my match school is UVA and Boston College...
What do you guys think?

3.55 GPA is kinda low, even if you have good ECs. Their average is around 3.75-ish. I don’t know about the other ones but Johns Hopkins might be a reach for you :|

Might look at Holy Cross-very good school near Boston. Holy Cross has January 15th application due date and offers great academics and an alumni network that is among the best in the country. HC offers good financial aid and is a smaller version of Notre Dame but easier to get into.
