<p>im an international student (india) and i wanted to come for my undergrad to the U.S...just wanted an opinion of how good my co curriculars are and what the probability of me getting into good colleges like MIT, Stanford, CalTech ..etc are ...</p>
<p>2200 in SAT-1 (Q. 1 : should i retake the sat-1 to TRY TO get above 2300....i just need someones opinion coz i'm very confused!)

<p>been in top 10% of class (actually 5%) of class in IX, X, XI and hopefully class XII... </p>
<p>Class 9th-87 % (came second out of 160)
Class 10th-89.6 = 90 %
Class 11th-91% (first position)
Class 12th-92.8 % (first Position)in first semester</p>
<p>recieved distinctions in all 5 subjects from 9th through 12th.</p>
<p>played tennis for 8 years and had a state ranking (Under-12 # 10) and (Under-14 # 31) ....india rank (U-14 # 144 )i still play ..but not from a competitive aspect...</p>
<p>ive taken part in various competitions (and won a few) like modem (it's a computer competition), science fairs, and i'm a prefect (which is like a school captain....ten students out of 160 are selected)..and im hoping to become the head boy this year as well.....
i have finished more than 300 hours of social work teaching poor and illiterate children
(30 hours in the required amount for an A grade by school ).
I have also collected about 15-20 certificates from 9th-12th</p>
<p>I am also trying to get my friend and my design of emergency brakes for elevators using magnetic levitation pateneted.</p>
<p>Unfortunately my parents will be unable to afford such expensive education...I used the financial aid calculators on princeton.edu, princetonreview.com etc...and they said that i should be getting approx 40000 USD scholarship out out of 51000 USD. 80%</p>
<p>Will i be able to make it into MIT (i know nothing is for sure..it all depends on them) ...but i need to know wehter my co-curriculars are up to the mark and wether I'm actually competition to other international kids...nad if they have limited funding for internationals....would they consider me ?</p>
