Hi everyone!

I'm just now completing my application for USC's School of Cinematic Arts, but I'm not sure about my chances of getting in. I'm currently a sophmore in junior college.

In terms of grades, I had a 3.4 GPA in HS and a 2.5 GPA in JC. By the time I'll be transfering, I will have met all of the required and recommended courses on the USC transfer planning worksheet. I got a D last semester in second semester Spanish, but I'm retaking the class this semester (spring) and taking the third semester over the summer. All of my other grades have either been A's, B's, or C's.

In terms of extra curricular activity, I've directed three short films. One of them was featured in a local film festival. I have worked on many local independent films. I founded and run my junior college's film club. I participated in the National Young Leaders Conference (NYLC) in Washington D.C. when I was in HS. I work for a Regal movie theatre. I have done a good bit of community service.

What are my chances of getting in? Someone at the school told me that extra curricular activity is more important than grades, but I don't know if that's a fact.

Thank You!
