Chances for Hamilton?

I am a rising senior at a very competitive hs in Connecticut
My cumulative (unweighted) GPA is a 3.4 (unsure what it would be weighted)

Upon graduation, I will have taken a total of 5 ap courses and over 10 honors classes.
SAT's = 1970

14 years of ballet with impressive summer programs (took a dance class at hamilton already)

I am confident in my interviewing skills, and will certainly arrange one, and english is my academic strength; coinciding with Hamilton's emphasis on writing.

Thinking about applying ED!!

PLEASE let me know what you feel my chances would be...

it’s hamilton, you’ll get in!

apolohno, the GPA and SAT are a little low for Hamilton (SAT’s in the 25% level), so it is not a slam dunk that she will get accepted.

however, the ED acceptance rate is 42%, compared to the 30% overall rate.

Your GPA and SAT is really low.

The OP’s scores are right at about the lower edge of Hamilton’s reported median band. However, Hamilton is SAT optional (other scores may be substituted) and only about 60% of enrolled students do report them. Presumably, the 40% who don’t report have lower averages.

A lot may depend on class rank. Hamilton looks like a reach, but not out of reach by any means.

Thanks everyone… I know Hamilton is a definite reach, but its nice to know it might not be completely out of the question if I apply E.D.
