Chances for Harvard, MIT, Princeton, etc.

@TopologyisFun No sorry m8 I didn’t say that I was just quoting basedchem’s response lol. Don’t worry about your chances; work hard and you’ll be fine.

Thanks, @blargenshmargen.

@renaissancedad There’s absolutely no comparison between this student and the “so cal math genius”. This student is eons ahead in mathematics. The student you mentioned took Algebra II his freshman year. This one took advanced homotopy theory.

@chancethrow7815 is pretty typical for an asian student in so cal…

@HarvardMaths Though I did take PhD courses in my freshman year, I’m sure they will count as college courses, and any distinction between the courses which @chancethrow7815 and I took will be minimal (because advanced homotopy theory is still a college course, even though it is a very esoteric branch of mathematics). Do correct me if I’m wrong!

Also, I hope I’m not offending you by pointing out that @chancethrow7815 is a best of category winner at ISEF, and not many students in southern California (indeed, the world!) can say that.

@renaissancedad has given great advice, but I’d love to hear any other advice which anyone would like to give!
