Thanks for all the feedback. I really appreciate it. =D
As for my gr.9 and 10 marks, i do know that they are extremely low. I guess it was mainly because I was suffering from clinical depression and I started receiving therapy for it in my Gr.10 summer with medications. Currently I am off the medication and coping very well. There were also little factors that bothered me in my life, such as the fact that it takes about an hour to get back and forth from school and such. I am also not really well off financially for my family. Under 40,000k US I believe. How should I express this?

being an international student and asian hurts some, but your stats can make up for that. Personally, I would say that your chances at these schools are just as good as anyones, and I would gladly bet that you get into Amherst, JH, and one or two more. Good luck!

sets you free...be honest and show that you dealt with the issues your were faced with and came out smelling like a rose...you have the drive and the guts to go to any school you want to...now just show that school why you want them and what is unique about you....do an interview with an alumni in your town...write compelling essays and personal statements which show your struggle and how you overcame....
