lookin' forward for ur replies!!!!!

I’m sorry but with your GPA I would be optimistic at all, but good luck

with that low of a cumulative GPA it’s going to be extremely tough for you, especially as an asian international. i would say, unless hook #1 is something greater than i think it is, you should aim lower than HYP and top liberal arts colleges. harvard is an extreme extreme reach.

haha, why i didn’t study much harder at early stage lol

so wouldn’t SAT scores make any sense??

Dude as a Freshman in HS, i can say without a doubt in my mind that probably more than 1/2 of the applicants at Harvard (out of like 30,000?) have 2300+ SATs.

I congratulate you on ur high scores, but it’s nowhere near enough to just have high standardized test scores for Harvard.

Well, I REALLY doubt half the students applying to harvard have a 2300+. Id say more like 25% or so have that kind of score. However, your GPA will rape you at HYPS or any top 20 schools. Good luck though!

Rt, srry i meant to say 2200+…2300+ SATs for half the applicants would be hell for adcoms…

Go for it. You’ve show commitment in you EC’s
And the nearly vertical trend in your GPA (if you hit 4.0 for the last trimester of jr year and the first of sr). Shows you were committed to excelling at school. Nobody can be optimistic for Harvard… but I think you have a shot, given your essays stand out.

if you are international and applying for aid, then i think you chances just flew out the window…
sorry bud

What does apply for aid have do with anything, Lobster. They state over and over again on their website that applying for aid in no way affects admissions.

BS. There are around 7000 kids who score above 2300 in a year. The number of high scorers is scarce, making them, like any other scarce resource, highly attractive.

Back to OP, lol what Warhammer army do you play?

Didn’t Williams announce recently that they’re doing away with need-blind international aid for at least the next couple years? I remember reading they had some kind of different system coming in.

Essay! Work on that as hard as you can!!!
Then see! Next is sheer luck!

@ JasonInNy

BS. There are much more than “7000 kids” who have above 2300 in a year. Forgot about a nice convenience called superscore have you? No longer does one have to get 2300 in one sitting. Get the facts right. You my friend are looking at the wrong statistics.

thnx all guys! so what i have to do now is, turn off the computer, sit down front of the desk, and get madly preoccupied to increase GPA!

and also the essay will figure out my path substantially…lol

jasoninny - i played Spacemarine army, used around 20 Terminators lol
but after updated into 5th edition, Terminators have been really weeken… T_T

yodastreet - really?? so i have to find out other need-blind colleges.

Apart from HYP, Dartmouth, and Amherst (all of which you mentioned), I believe MIT is the only other school to offer 100% need-blind admission to international students. However, Williams, Columbia, Penn, and a good number of other schools will still give you all the money you need provided that you’re accepted first.

What happened in 9th grade?

psh superscoring is for losers! I am not just saying that cuz I only took the SAT once = D.

Rtgrove123 - lol, i’d raised all of my SAT reasoning section score at 2nd
