Schools -

HYP, Dartmouth, Amherst, Williams (all these colleges afford full FA to low-income students, as i know)

I am asian.
no APs, cuz my family couldn't afford AP test fees..
parents are divorced, and i'm raised by mother, income is around 10000$/year.
so i have to apply on full ride FA also... am i have a chance?

I don’t know buddy, those grades just seem TOO low. I mean, you’re obviously a rather bright student, given your solid SAT scores, but your grades just don’t make the cut. The work at that college is RIGOROUS, and the adcom won’t know if you would be able to survive it or not. You obviously have had traumatic experiences, but that likely will not save you. Why not look at other schools such as your State Flagship or State Alternate?

so the GPA alwayz caught me to linger
to specify SAT score, 780/800/730 on SAT1, and 800/800/760 on SAT2.

ah, i had a mistake also in GPA. 10th is 3.3

surgeofindia14 - there is a reason that i didn’t study much more at early, but there is also a reason that my school is extremely competitive. finally i made out around 4.0s, wouldn’t it make up?

billabongboy9828 - cuz my school doesn’t offer any AP, IB classes. doesn’t the SAT scores will cover it up??

Unless you’re ranked in the top 5% of your class with that GPA, no, even those SAT’s won’t make up for it. Although you’re using seriously bad grammar so I’m wondering how you got such high CR and Writing scores…

nyc2013 - i’m in top 7% in school. so the GPA is really hard to get in our school.
about gramma, well… actually i didn’t sleep around 30hours lately plz understand it

I’m sympathetic towards you because you’ve had a pretty bad adolescence, but there are kids with 2350 SATs and 3.95 GPAs who get rejected…even with decent ECs and APs and Sat 2s.

Honestly, unless you have a heart moving, mind blowing essay, (and even with that ur still a hard reach) you have no chance…there are just so many 3.9-4. GPAs, 22xx-23xx, and even 2400 SATs and 36 ACTs who apply to schools like Harvard, and even they have a crap shot because thats just how Harvard is…
