Chances for Harvard, Yale, etc

Wait a second. So looking at past acceptance and rejection threads of a site that represents probably less than %1 of all applicants to Cornell over the past years tells you that you’re above "“average” or you have been able to quantify “average”?

I’m done arguing with you. You don’t have a grasp on college admissions at all. xiaojian hit the hammer on the head. Fix your attitude.

Once again, I strongly suggest getting a safety school, don’t want to end up without a school next September do you?

Good luck.

@Spaceduck
I said “for starters”. Do any sort of other research if you feel the need. And your know-it-all and arrogant attitude needs adjustment in itself. But yes, I’m done arguing with you

I don’t think that you have a good chance of getting into any of them SAT128. I scanned through the thread and it seems like you’re arrogant and a little full of yourself. Academically you’re fine, but that’s not the personality that these universities are looking for.

Space Duck actually looked like he was trying to be helpful suggesting a safety school (which I agree with as well) and you took it as a great insult.

I only took offense when he deliberately kept insisting how average and typical I was after I called him on some of the things he was saying. I know I’m not spectacular, but his opinions just seemed too blatantly void of truth without general perspective. But okay guys I humbly accept that I’m not getting into any of these schools because of my personality. Thanks for the honesty.

So ridiculous lol, anyone else out there that gets me or am I really just an arrogant prick?

EDIT: But okay I will admit that USC may not be a ‘true’ safety. But it’ll have to be good enough

They were speaking relatively. You are far from average in the general sense, but when we start talking about harvard applicants–specifically the ones that get accepted, you’re not that special. You’ll have to accept that anyway if you get into one of these places.

We were never talking about Harvard applicants though. At the very beginning I said I had an unlikely chance at HYP, and emphasized that several times. The conflict came when he was basically saying that I was a typical/average applicant at cornell and similar schools, which honestly isn’t true. My response just seems egotistical, but in general OR relative terms that just really is the case

I’d say that you are the average accepted at Cornell but yeah you’re likely better than the average applicant. However, the way that you approached their comments was poor, and it is indicative of your personality. This is not so good.
