bump :D

some people might be a tad envious or more likely doubtful of how you could do all those things and do them well, but i think that answer to that is you’re an exceptionally gifted and accomplished kid, which will naturally in people as to how you could be THAT exceptional, but some kids are i think that the best explanation is that you’re one of them. i don’t like so many people suspecting you might be robotic - that’s not the nicest thing to say - and did they not SEE yours grins :D?

i agree with what darkalley said regarding your chances.

Thank you for that kind response! I’ll make sure to include some smileys on my app too, if it will help :D

I think your stats are extremely solid.
ECs are kind of typical Asian (at least what it seems like to me, since my school is overrun with overachiever Asians). However, I think your leadership is really good (i.e. leading the Siemens We Can Change the World team). Like other people have said, perhaps focusing on one or two extracurriculars to show focus would be good.

Other than that, I think you’ve a pretty good shot. I mean, these schools are reaches for everyone, but regardless.

Thx ! I would love to be a varsity football player but sometimes we asians have it tough on our build lol.

Hi, you chanced me for Cornell, and if I may, nice job! I’d say all that’s left for you are the essays. Nail them and you’re looking for solid for your choice.

got my AP scores back:

5’s on Physics B, Chemistry, and Micro

(those are all I took)

I hope these make a positive difference!

All together everything looks good, but yeah, like others have said, you should show one distinct focus or passion on your application. Let them know who you are, not just what you’ve accomplished. You could focus on your violin experience.

Academically, you’re perfect. I think you have a great shot at any school as long as you write essays that really showcase your passion. Good luck.

Chance me back?

First, I congratulate you and give you a pat on back, your achievements are extraordinary, truly.

Now, contrary to what most people are saying on this thread, I believe that you are quite sound in your ECs. You demonstrate your passion for music through countless awards and a myriad of activities related to music. You also show that you are keen for science, although your performance in the music field is much more vast (not that this is a bad thing). Although I feel as if you have done a lot in music and model yourself as a highly adept musician, I would still do perhaps a couple more activities assossiated to music. The notions are endless. You could start a music club? Anything really. Just 2 or
3 more activates should be great.
I don’t even need to mention anything about your academics, highly highly competitive in that regard.

All of those schools are very much feasible for you. I think you have a great chance at acceptance. Though I am no psychic, I can see you probably getting into at least of those universities that you listed above, possibly more. Good luck!

bump :D

your chances seem pretty good at these colleges. I would try and do a little more outreach and you should be fine:)

bump :D

Academically you’re a match for all of those schools. Problem is that admission rates are so low that it’s hard to get in for anyone. Good luck though! I hope you get in! (: Chance back?

bump :D

Umm you’re in.

Seems like you’re a low to mid reach for those. But I mean, I don’t really know, I’m just a kid. Everything looks pretty sound to me.

I think that what you have accomplished, I want to do in my four years of high school. Haha id love to achieve something like you. What I think will win you over are the teacher reccomendations and essay. You say science, go to your ap chemistry teacher and have her give one and maybe your violin instructor for another. Then you will need a killer essay that showcases how science and music have played a major role in your life and how you wish to continue.

Please read mine and give me any tips I may not be Asian but ahaha I really want EC tips and stuff. Also please tell me what you think of my course selection and anything I can do to improve my chances. Thank you, any advice appreciated

bump :D

Wow so jealous of your stats o:

I’m pretty sure with good teacher reccomendations and essays, you will make it in pretty easily. Good luck!
