chances for international

Female, polish passport

Grade average 4.15 out of 6 ( I was never obsessed by marks, because they are useless in Polish colleges admissions. U.S education is quite new idea.)
we have no course choice, so it's always most demanding
SAT 2240 (m:800, w:740, cr:700) my school is not english-based
SAT II math 2c:800, physics:800, world history:800

and others, which are just my stimulants: music (love writing reviews, working with some music sites), reading, film (film club), theatre (reviews, reviews :), skating, computer graphics...

I have to write (and I will on my app somewhere too) that my EC's are just my passions, I am just kind of ADHD and I have to do something, and thus I am interested actually in more things than I'm not. In my country, EC's have nothing to do with colleges admissions!

I'm working now in small company as an informatic and server administrator (just 3h/week), and doing some free-lance in kind of computer-first-aid ;)

I volunteered in "Malta" - first aid organisation, working at huge events.

Teachers rec's are grat - showing me as an crazy individualist

Colleges - MIT, Princeton, Columbia SEAS - chance to get into?

Witaj.
I think you have pretty good chances.
Impressive CR score :)

pretty good chances, you say? For MIT? ;)

i think pretty good, but i'm not familiar with a 6 point scale.

chance me! <a href="http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/599653-very-very-not-perfect.html%5B/url%5D">http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/599653-very-very-not-perfect.html</a></p>

Grades are the most important factor at colleges here. Your school will have to check boxes on their forms to sayhow you did in comparison with others at your school. If your grades are good in context you should get into some good schools. If they are not top of class your first list will be difficult.

that's what I'm worrying about... I have no idea about rankings, but I guess I am in top 25%. In better half for sure ;) Very, very low, I know... But to be good at school in Poland, you have to be stupid :P Good thing is that on our school-leaving exam, matura, ppl with higher grades almost always get proportionally lower results. They cannot think, but colleges probably won't consider it...
