Anyone?Please?

Academically, you’re definitely qualified for the Ivy League. Keep in mind though that there will be thousands of other applicants with identical test scores and class rigor as you. What sets the difference apart those who get accepted and those who don’t come down to your other parts of the application: essays, recommendations, and extracurriculars.

Your extracurriculars seem fairly standard, and I don’t see a passion or commitment right off the bat. I’m not saying you’re not dedicated to your ec’s (I’m sure you are!), it’s just that being able to convey that passion is crucial during the application process and I can’t seem to pinpoint a certain “theme” or automatic area you’re heavily involved in. Many people claim their “president of club A, founder of club B, played varsity x for 4 yrs” etc, but the adcom will care more about what you actually did. Remember: Quality > Quantity

If you can bring out what you enjoy the most and provide compelling reasons to attend the specific schools, you’d have a great chance in my opinion. Being a URM is also a good hook. Best of luck!

Thanks so much for the great advice, but can you tell me more about conveying passion and whatnot?

Oh, btw, Azngambit, I’ve done plenty of fundraising towards promoting specific things in worlds in third world countries, raised a great deal of money for various charities, I just didn’t put it in my post. Should it be something I convey on my app? Sorry if this sounds stupid, lol

(I just don’t want to be specific about what I’ve done)

And when I say “convey”, I mean is there a space on the application where I can detail precisely what I’ve done in said EC? Sorry, I’m a bit ignorant of the process
