Lmk what everyone thinks. I’m just looking for recs on chances and also what I should focus on to really reinforce my application

For the schools you mention I imagine you will get into at least 2.

Above anything else, cost is your first consideration. If you can’t afford it, you’re not going there no matter how prestigious it is. Second, don’t get too exotic in your college list, otherwise you’ll end up with a long list of rejections or a list of acceptances to colleges you can’t afford. Start in-state and research scholarships, then work out from there.

bump

You are a competitive applicant. Your stats and ECs are good. Write great essays and you could get accepted to any of these schools

By any chance are you including Dartmouth/Cornell/UPenn b/c they are part of the Ivy League and you think that as so-called “lower Ivies” you have a better chance? Or have you actually picked those 3 specifically b/c you see the academic and community experience as a good fit for you?

Have you considered doing PPE (Politics, Philosophy & Economics)? UPenn offers it, as do Pomona and Claremont McKenna (there are others, but those are the ones that seem most likely for you),

You are competitive, and theoretically you could reasonably get into most of those schools. You could also be rejected by most (even all) of them. I’m guessing you see UMiami as your ‘safety’: would you cry if that turned out to be your only choice? If so, get cracking on finding another option.

Random notes:

*Georgetown wants 3 subject tests.

*UPenn takes more than half the class ED (the acceptance rate for ED dropped from 22% to 18% this year. The overall admissions rate was 8.4% (down from 9.1% last year), which makes the RD rate something in the 2-3% range.

Amazing and very well oriented ecs. They clearly show your passion for economics and cryptocurrency. Retake your SAT as you have planned to, and i think you will get accepted in at least one of these schools. Maybe chance me back? http://talk.qa.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/2081007-chance-me-for-elite-schools.html#latest

Thank you!
