Hello.
I normally don’t like doing this cause it just makes me more uneasy, but this time I can’t stop myself from feeling tense, so I wanted to ask this.
I’m applying for Kent school, Hill school, Deerfield Academy, Episcopal and Kimball Union, and here are the statistics:
I’m a Korean international student living in Thailand, going to a British International school.I take Art,English,Drama,Music,Maths,Science,Geography,History,ICT and DT, Thai and Mandarin. Just in case you’re wondering, I’m fluent in English, possibly more than I am at my own native language.
All of my grades have been As last year, and though I did get 2 Bs this year, I did get A*s in science and Maths.
Awards:academic award at school for art, mandarin and history, 3rd place for short story writing competition
Extra-curricular activities:
Art club:(one in school and one outside of school)
-contributed in painting murals around the school
-attended art festival/art gallery in Korea and a small local one as well
Debate club:
-learned a lot but no awards
Swimming:
-I’m not competitive and I’m not good at sports, but I tried a lot of stuff here(no flashy awards here as well)
Student leadership team(student council):
-contributed in discussing about improving school faculties but stated that I won’t be continuing cause I didn’t like the message of the club:good equipment=good community
Environmental club(only mentioned this in interview so I’m not sure if they’ll remember):
-I made the club and tries to raise awareness about an issue(too detailed to explain)
Music Academy:
-violin and piano(did win few competitions held there)
SSATs:
I was really disappointed cause I got 76%, but I’m retaking it and I’m pretty sure I can get up to about 88%~98%(practice tests results)
My interviews went really well for all of the schools, and I did ask a ton of questions.
I just feel really tense after seeing how amazing other applicants are and like I said before, I am feeling super tense. If you have any questions, please ask and thank you for taking your time to read this.
