chances @ top bs?

I feel weird making chance threads now that everything is over but I’m going to anyways, even if it does look a tad desperate

i’m applying for quite a few schools (my essays killed me), hotchkiss, pa , choate, l’ville, deerfield, exeter, mx, pea and sps
anyways, here are my stats:

ssat: all 99th except verbal 94th
grade applying: 10th
nationality: asian-american (dual-citizenship)
not applying for FA
international applicant

interviews went alright, choate and deerfield went best, sps was my worst since it was my first, andover’s also wasn’t great. everything else went okay, without much worth mentioning.

essays, well, they got tiring after a bit so I don’t think I did great, choate or hotchkiss were my best.

teacher recs,
maths: great but very very short (she didn’t gush much, but she’s big on tough love  )
english: not sure but should be pretty good, we have a great relationship and i’m an active student
personal: should be good
counsellor: i’d say it’s pretty good

my grades are alright, though they aren’t great. this year’s is significantly better because we changed grading systems and this one actually makes sense (yay!)

ec’s, i play lacrosse and the most generic asian instrument of all time, the piano!!! i have a couple of leadership roles as well. also in competition maths as well as maths club; a couple more committees.

i mean that’s about it.

before i get any ‘cast wider net’ comments, I’m already at a pretty good school, and if I don’t get into the schools I really want to, I’m fine with staying hence the narrow selection.

I think the interviews matter a lot since they show the AO who you really are and if YOU want to go to their school. How exactly did your interview that you said were good go?

@GrotonKid123 i made lots of jokes, and it didn’t feel like much of an interview, more of a friendly conversation. the not-so-good interviews were mainly because in a way, i guess, the interviewer and i had pretty different personalities and i found it difficult to connect with them?

You have a great chance of admission to every school because your SSAT score is outstanding, you will be a full pay student, you play an instrument & participate in a sport as well as some leadership roles. Basically your admission comes down to your maturity level as reflected in your interviews & in your letters of recommendation, in my opinion.

@Publisher what about essays?

Yea that was like my interview. I think you have a really good chance at Deerfield and Choate where your interviews went well.

You have a pretty good chance, methinks.
