<p>One thing: don't let people tell you that you don't stand a chance because of your SAT score or something like that, because it's not true. I got in with a 1240/1910 (I'm half-Indian, btw). Just by looking at the recently admitted students, I think that Northwestern is really looking for someone that shines in the essay and extra curricular involvement. Make them as personal, unique, and tailored as you can.</p>
