Chances for Marketing at NEU

<p>Hey I have already applied early action to NEU and just wanted to know what everyone thinks my chances are.</p>

<p>Rank: 11/492 (I'm now 10th with our schools new ranks that came out)</p>

<p>GPA: 3.86</p>

<p>SATs: Reading: 510 Math: 500 Writing: 580 (weak I know)</p>

<p>Classes: Throughout my High School Career I've taken all honors classes (12) and 3 AP classes my senior year and 1 hrs class. (along with 4 years or spanish and electives)</p>

<ul>
<li>In National Honors Society and Spanish National Honors Society</li>
<li>Varsity Hockey 4 years (Cpt. as a senior)</li>
<li>Varsity Tennis 4 years (Cpt. as a junior and senior)</li>
<li>Renaissance Program Member
-Won an award for outstanding achievement in honors american studies
-Won an award every year for tennis for our local newspaper</li>
<li>Attended Massachusetts Boys' State Leadership Conference</li>
<li>Involved in a comm. service club called G.I.V.E. at our school where we do different types of service projects in our community.</li>
<li>Excellent Letters of Rec from my teacher who used to teach at Northeastern and President of Boys' State (plus other teachers at my school Im very close with and wrote awesome ones for me.)</li>
<li>I have 3 part time jobs: Hollister employee, camp counselor, and tennis instructor</li>
</ul>

<p>Can I get in despite my weak SAT scores?</p>

<p>How did you manage to get those SAT scores? Maybe you should have tried re-taking it. I'd say you're a high-match to a low reach.</p>

<p>Yeah, I agree with Polar. Btw, I applied EA for marketing too!</p>

<p>I don't know how I got those test scores, I'm just awful at SATs but awesome at taking tests inside my regular classes and I'm hoping that one test won't ruin my chances of getting into good schools like NEU</p>
