Recruitment for soccer is extremely competitive and your son needs to start the recruitment process now. He should have a highlight reel that he can direct coaches to- either on youtube or on a recruiting website (berecruited.com, captainu.com, etc.) He should be emailing the coaches at least once a week as well as calling repeatedly until he gets in touch with them . He should be looking at their websites to see what positions they might be recruiting during his year, and to get to know something about the team. He should go thru the list of coaches attending the LV tournament and email any that he is interested in. Copy all coaches on each school’s roster. Include his LV schedule and all identifying information about his team, including your son’s number. Also he should be visiting college websites to fill in recruiting questionnaires. While on the websites, look to see if any are holding ID camps that he can attend.

You mention Div. 1 and 3; what about Div. 2? He will need to register on the NCAA website for Div. 1 and 2. It is a long, daunting process and he will have to be very proactive to get noticed. Best of luck!

If you son is in China it is hard for being recruited. However, he is going to be Las Vegas showcase he will have a good chance to be recruited.

You son status is very similar to my son’s in athletic and academic. He will have very good chance in D3 but D1 is harder.

Both NW and WashU will have soccer camp in summer if you know your wants to go there, why not just send him to the camp so coach can see him.

My son went to NW camp four years ago in Junior like your son age. It is very stressful. If he can survive on the last game - All Star then you son will have a good chance in D1. It is not easy at all, good luck.
