Hi, I'm currently a junior who's thinking to apply to MIT.

Sophomore year: 3.78ish GPA and ranked 67 out of 680 students (took 2 AP courses).

Junior year: 4 AP classes including Calc AB and Physics
GPA: 3.86 during the first semester.
Rank: 33 out of 680
Also,my second semester was even better, so I'm looking foward to have at least a 3.90 GPA.

I know it would be hard for me to get in to MIT, but would the admmission board like my academic improvement?
And I heard females have a better chance in getting accepted. Is that true?

Btw, my first ACT score was 31, and I'm taking it again next month.
