<p>Essays:
1) Wrote about the strong traditions, community, genuity, and scholarship that I witnessed at Kenyon during my visit, how I loved the size, Gambier, and longed to call Kenyon my "home" and how I saw Middle Path as my own "middle path," bridging from where I am to where I want to be.</p>

<p>2) Wrote about connecting the dots through my love of literature and everything I love about it...how words echo through time and are eternal and words connect people throughout cultural, socioeconomic, historical barriers, how books help me connect the dots, and how a great book can connect us all</p>

<p>3) Wrote about coming from a multicultural family, my dad being from South Korea, my mom being daughter to a single teenage mother and both overcoming the odds as first-generation college students and how I am genetically prone to be a resilient being...segwayed into dropping Physics II this year "feeling my very chromosomes malfunctioning" changing my mind because "Could I remain (name) if I accepted this defeat? Not where I am from."</p>

<p>Recommendations:
1) AP Chem Teacher a class I got a high C in but worked my a## off in, she wrote about my resiliency and growth
2) AP Lang Teacher wrote about how caring and introspective I am and how good my writing is and how I enjoy writing about abstract ideas and how I do it well...he mentioned what a big part of the school I am and how I will continue to make the world a betterplace and shine a little brighter wherever I go
3) AP Bio Teacher wrote about how determined and driven I am and about how I led all my clubs (NHS, Key Club, Student Council) to lead a Hurricane Sandy Relief fundraiser and how she could "go on for pages of what a valuable addition she is at (school's name), but if admitted I guarentee she will prove it to you herself" and so on
4) Sponser for the Sr and Jr class wrote about how studious and dependable I am, working with me as Jr and Sr president, what "an honor it is to write a recommendation" for me and how I go out of my way to help all of those around me and how I am such a great leader of the class
5) Counselor, wrote about what a hard worker I am and my sunny disposition and how ambitious and motivated I am</p>

<p>Concerns:
I know my GPA is a little low, I slipped Jr year working 3-10 almost everyday to help support my family's financial issues, but I worked my a## off to pick everything back up. I was hoping my rigorous courseload, demonstrated interest in Kenyon, glowing recommendations, and stronger Sr year would save me. What do you think?</p>
