What are my chances of getting into Kenyon College EDII?

I'm a senior and just applied to Kenyon College EDII. I have visited the campus, had an interview, talked to the admissions officer through email a bit with questions. I was concerned because I had a weaker Junior Year because of a job to help my family's financial issues. I have a much stronger Senior Year, have moved up to Salutatorian of my class, took all APs and Honors, after school, and before school classes to make up for it. I am also considered a first-generaton American since my father was from South Korea and my mom is Russian so I suppose you could consider me multicultural. These are my stats. Let me know what you think! Thanks!

Comments and Concerns:

I know my Junior year was a hot mess, but I was working 3-10 almost everyday after school to help my family's economic situation. I've noted this in emails and interviews to the schools I applied to and I wrote an "additional supplement" for it. I was hoping my Senior grades could help/save me.

I've received glowing letters of recommendation about what a genuine, caring person I am, and about my resiliency and drive. I also wrote pretty good essays. What do you think?

Especially since you applied EDII, I think you have a really good shot at Kenyon. They will understand your situation junior year and will see how well you did the rest of high school. Good luck!

Kenyon: Match

The OP is female, which I think does reduce your chances at Kenyon. But I still think you have a pretty good chance – your ethnic background and family history may play well in the admissions pool there. Good luck!

Do you think the fact I’m from Pennsylvania will hurt or help my chances?

bumppppppp
