Chances for next year/help finding schools?

I plan on applying for transfer admission for Spring 2012, and Fall if I don't get accepted anywhere then. I'm applying as a Psych major, but I'm having trouble finding schools that A. are ranked relatively highly and B. allow transfer admission at all. Big city environments are a plus, but not necessary - any ideas?

Anyways, I'm going to apply for BU, BC, UMich, NYU, Brown, UPenn, U of Washington Seattle, U of Vermont, Northwestern and Cornell for the spring, and all those plus Duke, Georgetown and Columbia for the fall.

High School Stats
School: private in CA
GPA: ~3.8 weighted, high honors
APs/Honors: English Lit, English Lang, Psychology, US Government, Spanish Lang (APs); World History, Algebra, Geometry, English 1 and 2, Spanish 3 (honors)
SAT: 2180
ACT: N/A
ECs: community service, newspaper editor, Student Organization for Drug and Alcohol Awareness co-president, foreign language honor society, tutor, piano lessons

College: CA community college, 3.7 GPA, 45-50 credits by next January, summer job/community service

My essays (I think) are pretty good. I was accepted into NYU for fall 2010 but had to withdraw right before term began because of hardship (parents were getting divorced, dad had squandered all savings + accrued tens of thousands of dollars of debt, couldn't secure a loan, cheated, etc.). I made sure I wasn't begging for sympathy, but demonstrating that I want to go to a good school so I can be what my dad isn't and help to support my family.

What’s your budget? You’re aware that most schools offer very little financial aid for transfer students, right?
