Chances for NYU Stern, BU, and Northeastern

Hi guys, I'm applying EDII to NYU Stern, and EA to Northeastern (D'Amore-McKim), and regular decision to BU (School of Management). I was wondering what are my chances for getting into these schools?

Unweighted GPA: 3.6
Weighted GPA: 4.3

AP/IB/Honors Courses: Pre-IB for Freshman and Sophomore year (All honors classes with A.P. US History in sophomore year), and now all IB classes except for honors speech/debate.

Tests:
SAT (2nd time): 2260 (710r, 760m, 790w) I improved 80 points over my first test, so I only sent this score, unless the school requested all scores.
ACT (1st time): 34 (31r, 34m, 36w, 34s)
ACT (2nd time): 34 (35r, 31m, 35w, 34s)
SAT II (Chemistry): 790
SAT II (Math II): 790
AP/IB Scores: APUSH (4); AP Language and Composition (5); AP BC Calculus(5/5); IB Business and Management SL (6)

Awards:
The really only big award I have gotten is National Merit Semifinalist (PSAT: 223)
Minor awards: Academic High Honors (school); National Honor Society (school); and AP Scholar (national?)

ECs:
Debate team: Competed for all 4 years of High School, qualified for state twice in Duo (Ha Duo)
National Honor Society: Treasurer
DECA: Participated Junior year (I couldn't get into a business class senior year because of a sports credit requirement), qualified for DECA International Career Development Conference in Financial Team Decision Making
Volunteering: 300+ hours volunteering at the local museum
(On a smaller note for BU, I attended the Summer Challenge program last summer for business and international politics)

Essays: I don't want to reveal too much about my topic, but it's very unique and (I believe) extremely well written. It talks about how the event that I discuss in my essay broadened my scope of the world and gave me my passion for helping others. As for my supplemental essays, I think my NYU essay is really solid as it talks about my global outlook and my love for business and finance in particular, while my BU does the same, just not as connected to the school as for NYU.

Recs: I have one good recommendation and one o.k. recommendation (he isn't a really good writer) from two of my core teachers, and for NYU, I will have an extremely strong recommendation from my debate teacher.

My biggest worry is my current GPA. I feel that it is low for Stern, which is why I'm applying EDII. I talked to my admissions rep for NYU and he said that I should apply EDII if I would want to submit my mid-year report for consideration, which I expect to be a 4.0 or a 3.8 overall. I'm banking on the fact that my teacher recs, essays, and test scores will help make up for my GPA, but I'm not sure if that will be enough without a killer mid-year report. Thanks!

You’ll get into BU, and maybe Northeastern, but NYU Stern is a bit of a stretch.

BU: Safety
Northeastern: Safety

Stern’s a huge reach unless your GPA really does go up to 3.8. Even then Stern is really competitive, so it’ll still be a reach - but if your GPA does go up, I think you’ll stand a decent chance. Also does your GPA have an upward trend or is it fluctuating? That might matter.

I don’t think you’ll have much of a problem with BU & Northeastern. NYU Stern is extremely difficult to get into and may be a reach for you. Scores are mediocre for Stern and GPA is on low the end.
