Pretty sure you’ll get in. I’m not sure if your GPA is on a 4 point scale though (my friend lives in a Chicago suburb as well but his school is on a 5 or 6 point scale). Ohio State isn’t that hard to get into, and you have some pretty good EC’s Remember that Ohio State accepts you based on the campus you’re applying to, so I’m assuming what you want to major in will matter. Good luck applying!

I think you have a pretty good chance actually. Your ACT score is impressive as it is, and if you bring it up, that’ll only improve your chances. It sounds like your a decent athlete, so that could help your chances as well. But academically, I’d say you’re already a strong candidate.

Mind looking at my thread? I’d appreciate it :)

Your gpa is low for Ohio State. My daughter’s is low, too with a weighted 3.66. 2009 freshman class enrolled an extra 10% of their target due to number of applicants and they expect to do the same this year with high demand. That being said they like out of state tuition money. Don’t expect any merit with those numbers though. Good luck.

I wish my son would join “Dudes Making a Difference”.

You can get into Ohio State (this coming from a person who lives really close to campus). I know people there that got in with a border line 3.0. Though why you want to go to Ohio State is beyond me! I guess I’ve just lived around the campus all my life and, as such, just want to get away.
