i wanna major in international relations/politics....i plan on applying as soon as senior year starts...the beginning of sept...end of sept at the latest....btw im an Asian female from a single parent household, first to go to college if that helps ....thanks guys i appreciate any feedback and constructive criticism

You are probably a good candidate, but I encourage you to take some SAT tutoring to try to push that up. You might turn a "maybe" into a "sure thing" with a very good SAT the next time(s).

BTW, in case you don;t know, EC's don;t currently count for anything at PSU. It's 2/3 grades/curriculum and 1/3 SAT. Don;t worry about padding ECs for PSU.

And, most of all, apply early (say but mid-October latest). It's heartbreaking to read some of these posts wherein very good candidates were waitlisted or declined because of delayed application.

does any1 know if PSU offers anything for volunteering as an EMT on campus? i know many students from my high school got free room and board if they volunteered 20 hours a week for their college....also since PSU doesnt look at EC...would being a CNA/EMT help me or is that considered an EC?
