Thanks in advance for your input and advice.

You should really try to get that SAT math up. They like to see above 700 in all sections.

Usually I’d say to get your SAT up, but your e.c. are very strong and you say you’ll have great rec letters, so I think you have a very good chance

Bumppppppppppp

Everything looks decent other than that SAT score, which will hurt your chances at such competitive schools. No other parts of your application whether it be your GPA/grades, ECs, rec letters, etc. can “make up for” a low SAT. It is its own separate criteria and will be looked at as such.

Your main focus at this point should be to raise your SAT as much as possible, preferably to 2250+. Have you tried the ACT? You may do better on the ACT than on the SAT.

Yea, I know my SAT score isn’t too great… Haha

I’ve never really looked into the ACT, but it’s probably too late now to prep for it and take it because the common app is already out. Thank you for your advice though!

^You still have quite a bit of time. I believe you have until October if you want to take the ACT and submit it to Penn for early decision. That leaves you around two months to prepare. It’s at least worth a shot. What do you have to lose?
