Hey, I'm just wondering my chances for getting into these two colleges (top 2). I am a junior (white male) at Suffield Academy (private school) in CT. I was born and raised in a town near Chicago in Illinois until 5th grade, when I moved to Connecticut. I'm not sure if my parents job would affect my chances, but he is the Vice President of Hamilton Sundstrand, partner of United Technologies (owns all aerospace companies).

3.4 gpa (the reason for the low gpa is because private schools grade much harder than public schools, I hope colleges take this into account).
I haven't yet taken the SAT's yet but what's a good score for these schools out of 2400? I'm planning on taking a test prep course to improve my chances.
I haven't taken part of any AP or honors classes yet because they aren't offered until senior year
I play Varsity soccer, snowboard, and I'm the teachers assistant to a Leadership group, where we work together to build upon our leadership skills.

EC's- volunteered at an elementary school working with underprivelaged children. I also am on the yearbook committee. I won a writing award for writing a short story a few years ago, giving me an all expense paid trip to UIllinois to meet with many famous writers.

My school offers a class called leadership, where it helps teach us all of the leadership skills like business, speach, and character building. This should help out in showing my personality.

My religious view is Methodist, but I don't go to church every Sunday. I hope this won't have any effect on my getting into Pepperdine, seeing as it is a religious school.

One of the reasons why I went to SA is because it has a great college counseling program. Starting at the beginning of my Junior year, we start getting help on college. They help us perfect our essays and I have dedicated teachers which will help me out with great recommendations.

Thanks so much for your help
