Thanks in advance!

My opinion is you have a very strong chance of getting accepted.

I am a little worried about your level in math - not to be accepted but for your freshman year. I would strongly consider taking a calculus course this summer. Find an online college class. Both of those majors are heavily into math. I am guessing most of the kids will have taken the AP Calculus in high school. Also, Lehigh does offer calculus in summer school in case you don’t do very well during freshman year.

I think Lehigh will like that you are teaching yourself programing languages. I also like that you are an umpire! Talk about having an ability to deal with stress!

My son did not take AP Chemistry in high school. And freshman chemistry was a real struggle for him.

Do you live close enough to go for a visit? If you are be sure to visit!

Good Luck!

@kikkydee‌ Thanks! I plan on taking Calc 1 over the summer at my local community college. And I have already visited.

Awesome! But make sure you retake Calculus as a freshman. I would not recommend trying to pass out of any required course in your major.

I think Lehigh will be very impressed with your self motivation!

Since Lehigh is a research university their are many great jobs/research positions available for students… Be sure to go and talk to your favorite professors during office hours. Also, read about the research each professor is doing within your area of study. If you find someone doing research that interests you Go Talk To Them! They will love it. You might be able to get a research position. Really, try to stay sophomore summer to do research with a professor. My son also took a couple summer school classes. (Lehigh also has summer school classes online!) Then your junior summer you could try to get a paid internship. Those internships usually result in a job offer. My son had his job offer by September of senior year.

It is exciting to get you started planning for your bright future!!!

Thanks for the help!
