Chances for Salem State, UVM, or Dartmouth?

Okay, I'm just fifteen here and I will have a 3.8 GPA for my freshman year. I'm going into 10th grade. I already know my schedule for next year, and from that, I have a pretty good guess at what it's going to look like for 11th, and 12th. I want to be a veterinarian, so for my first four years I plan on going into biochemistry or perhaps another related field (suggestions?) to prepare me for the Veterinary curricula.

Sophomore year:
Honors: Chem, Spanish, World Hist., English, Algebra II w/ trig ... nearly all except the elective (3D art) and the religious class
GPA: (if I get straight As -- 4.9)

Junior year:
APs: Spanish, Euro. Hist., Art History (all the rest are honors except for the religious class)
GPA: (5.0)

Senior year:
APs: Spanish, Gvt. and Politics, English, Art History, Calculus (all the rest are honors, again, except for the religious class. .. I can't get honors for that)
GPA: (5.0)

ECs (outside school): Veterinary hospital, ASPCA, Clearwater Marine Aquarium: Junior educators (I teach 9 year olds about marine science), Diver for the CMA, Brown Pre-College, Provide prom dresses for those that can't afford them, steady jobs at Barnes & Noble and a waitress at First Watch, and perhaps RSI (MIT.)

ECs (in school): NHS, Key club, Future Veterinarians of America (founder), Book club (founder), NSHS, NAHS, Soccer (3 years), Swimming (3 years), Volleyball (2 years), Tennis (3 years), Student Government - President, Environmental club.

National merit finalist and AP Scholar w/ distinction

..So...Does it sound like someone that could be competitive for Dartmouth, Salem State, UVM, UConn, or Middlebury? Thank you

Do yourself a favor. Go away. Have a great summer, go back for sophomore year, and keep doing what you do. Take the most challenging classes available to you and do the best you can. Choose EC’s that you truly enjoy, and jump in with both feet. Then come back here in a year. It’s way too early for chance threads.

I won’t get into your competitiveness, since it’s way too early to tell. However, I will say that Dartmouth is so much more competitive than those other schools that it doesn’t belong on the same list. For an outstanding student, that list looks like one extreme reach (Dartmouth), another reach (Middlebury), and three safeties.

I agree with Chardo. Come back in two years. It is nice to think about where you want to go, but you can’t get any “chances” When you’ve had only a fourth of your HS career and not taken the SAT. Keep being ambitious though.

Dartmouth is either a reach or impossible for anyone. If you get the posited grades, then Vermont and Uconn are safe. I have insufficient data on Middlebury, but i don’t believe that it is nearly as competitive as Dartmouth.
