Chances for some LACs, please?

Hi all,

I'm currently a junior, and I'm already super nervous about next year's admissions process. I'm looking for a few valuable insights into what my chances would be, if anyone has a spare second.

GPA (9-11): 3.47 UW (school does not weight, though most likely it would be around a 3.7 weighted.)
GPA (10-11): 3.7 UW
Here's where my story comes in. I moved to a new state the DAY before my freshman year of high school (yeah, it sucked) and I barely had time to register for classes. I signed up for a "gifted" class, Humanities, which is a combination of English and history- since those are two of my top/favorite subjects, I thought I would have no problem. It was very accelerated and the teacher scared the s*** out of me, so I ended up with a C. The bad news was, since the class covered two academic subjects, it counted twice. This really dragged down my GPA, but since I want to be a teacher, I've decided to throw into my application how it gave me a new perspective on new and/or struggling students. Hopefully that will help. For the record, though, it's my only C and I have mostly As otherwise, with my next lowest grade a B- in sophomore Honors Algebra II.

7 Honors classes total
4 AP classes by end of senior year (taking 1, AP Gov, currently)
PSAT (taking real thing in May): 61 math/ 67 critical reading/ 68 writing (hope to raise this to 2000+ range)

ECs:

-International Club (4 yrs)-- President jr/sr years
- Peervention (3 yrs) (select peer mentoring group; had to be recommended by teachers)-- Activities Coordinator jr yr; hope to have higher leadership position next year
- Bon Ami Club (4 years)-- Co-president jr/sr years
- Operation Smile Club (4 years)-- Leader jr/sr years
- French National Honors Society jr/sr year (opened chapter this year)
- Tutor to middle school kid 1 hr/week
- Employed at local YMCA as babysitter at Kids Club and leader of birthday parties (about 4-10 hrs/week)
-Senior Interest Project- Collected over 200 pairs of pajamas for an AIDS orphanage in Ethiopia, which I personally delivered, during soph year. Junior year, I did town-wide presentations on how others can help, and also did a drive collecting sheets/blankets for them, which I shipped over. This took a LOT of my time, because I had to organize everything by myself.

Honors/Awards:
-Honor Roll (9, 11)
- High Honor Roll (10)
-COLT Award for Excellence in French (10)
- Award for Outstanding Senior Interest Project

Schools:

Mount Holyoke
Bryn Mawr
Smith
Vassar
Skidmore
Bennington
Salve Regina
Sweet Briar
Hollins

Thanks!!

"Hooks":
-I am bilingual (English and Norwegian)
-I have traveled extensively (27 countries worldwide to date)
-My family adopted a little girl from Ethiopia the summer between my soph + jr years. I went along on the trip + delivered pjs to AIDS orphanage- I am writing my essay on the experience.

just curious...bilinguality is a hook? i'm quadrilingual.

You're right, that's not a "hook" at all...I meant to put it in kind of an "extras" category. But it's certainly worth mentioning, right?

Not really, most college students are going to know more than one language.
