you have a solid chance on all of them

chance me too

They are reaches?

I know they are reaches, but how big of a reach?

bump before logging off

They’re all low reaches, you pretty much have a good shot at all of them, but nothing’s guaranteed.

Write stellar essays. Retake SATs and ACTs and see if you do better. If not, your current scores are great! Good luck.

Thanks. I don’t think I’m retaking the SATs, so I’m hoping the ACT will pull through.
I’m just worried about my CR score since English is not my first language

bump 10char

Put that in your application, gives you a significant edge.

The CommonApp does ask how long I’ve lived in the US and what was my first language  (7 years and Chinese)

bump 10char

bump 10char

bump. I’ll chance back

Cornell - low to mid reach (just because of that CR score)
UChicago - low-reach (hard to say because they heavily consider essays!)
Northwestern - low reach
UC Berkeley - low to mid-reach (because OOS is very competitive as far as I know)
Emory - match/high match
WashU - high match/low reach (not very familiar with their stats)
Boston College - match
Brandeis - match

I think you have good chances for your schools listed! The first four listed are reaches, but you are a competitive applicant. The only thing I can see hurting you is your CR score & being an ORM. I second avenlea, write amazing essays & hopefully your ACT will be a bit higher (although your scores are already very good!).

I’d say you will get into at least one of the reaches, probably more. Best of luck! :)

Wow nice list of extracurricular activities! However it says that you’ve only listed 1 ap test score before senior year? Did you just choose not to take the ap tests? Since you taking 6 ap classes senior year I think it’ll make it up though. Since your applying for Cornell ED and Chicago EA I think you have a great chance at all of those schools.

UPDATE:
33 ACT
EA to UMich
