I applied to JHU last year but was rejected. I hope that my academic performance in college will cause the admissions officers to make a different decision.

Here are my stats:

4.0 college GPA (I was the top student in three of my classes, so I could probably get some excellent recs.)
3.5 HS GPA
2150 SAT (700CR, 750M, 700W)
URM (Hispanic)

I'd appreciate anyone's insight on this matter.

Your college 4.0 is certainly impressive, and your credentials would seem to put you in the ballpark. Understand, however, the Hopkins accepts relatively few transfers and that the statistics for being admitted as a transfer are decidedly worse than freshmen admissions. Also, the fact the the yield for this years freshmen class was unexpectedly high (and that, therefore, the freshmen class size is higher than anticipated) may adversely affect the number of transfer admissions (this is speculation on my part, I have no inside knowledge on this point). Good luck.
