Chances for Spring 2013? And a couple questions

Hey, I'm looking to transfer to UT Spring 2013. Right now I'm in the business school at Texas State.

I only have 19 credit hours now (6 classes and 1 "introductory" class at texas state). My GPA is 3.8. I've been taking core courses so far. I graduated high school in 2011, and took a couple community college courses before transferring to Texas State last spring.

-I have 2 dropped courses, one from Texas State, one from community college.

Is it true that UT doesn't accept a lot of business students if they took their business classes at another school? If that is true, should I avoid taking microcomputer applications this year at Texas State? I don't have any other business classes completed.

Would it help me if I told them both of my parents graduated from UT?

I was thinking about taking 4 classes this semester (mostly core) at Texas State, then knocking off both core history courses with online courses. Would this be a good idea? I've heard that history at Texas State is twice as time-consuming as most classes normally are, and since I need to focus on all A's this semester to improve my chances of admission, I thought it might be a good idea to do those history courses online. Would that look alright to UT, and where should I take them if so? I need them to transfer to UT because otherwise I might not have 30 credit hours if I drop a course..

Thanks for answering!

EDIT: Would/should I send my SAT scores to UT-Austin? They are a couple years old. They aren't great, but would a 1920 help or hurt my chances?
