No way to chance any applicant for Stanford since it is a Reach for everyone. Apply and hope for the best.

Current Princeton student here with quite a few friends at Stanford.

Based off your current description, pretty much agree with Gumbymom.

You’ll either be in the general categories of “Admit”, “Strongly Recommend”, “Only if Space”, or “No”. Based off your current description, I’d throw a possible “Only if Space.”

However, that’s not because you aren’t a strongly recommend or maybe even Admit! I say my current evaluation because I don’t know enough about you.

  1. Academics: Your GPA seems pretty solid and I’m guessing is in the top 10% of your class. Your ACT is alright and won’t help or hurt you. So in terms of academics, you’ll probably pass the readers evaluation, although your class rank, if a factor, may change this if for some reason you happen to be like 100/500 even with that GPA.
  2. Essays: You mention you’ll spend extra time on this. Please do, essays + your extracurricular app can make or break Stanford
  3. Persona: You need to craft a solid “persona” to admissions officers.

I’m helping out students on CC for an entrepreneurship class project and giving out complimentary analysis of your app, so if you need more help, feel free to message me.

Also, feel the Bern!
