Missions trips to Bolivia & Kentucky

You can do almost what ever you desire with that
maybe even a little better than stanford

p.s. stanford is not the best school
and a mission trip in bolivia i suppose is not wow enough ffor you
gravitas

^^are you delusional??? Stanford is the hardest school to get into…people with perfect scores and top grades get rejected all the time unless they have the “wow” factor in their extracurricular activity…along with outstanding essays…

…the op’s scores aren’t even in the upper range to be competitive with the best…

…as long as there are people like you out there thinking that Stanford is NOT the toughest school to get into…they will continue to have more and more applications that will drive the acceptance rate even lower…

I second gravitas.

That being said, you do have good grades and ECs, but all of the schools you listed are very competitive, and nothing is guaranteed. I would recommend focusing a significant amount of attention on your essays – what distinguishes you from the other tens of thousands of applicants? Best of luck!

Thank you all very much for your input :)

With the exception of your writing score (which you should get to above a 700), your stats indicate that you are academically competitive. But so are 80% of the people who apply to Stanford and the other colleges you listed. At this point, all you can do is craft a compelling application highlighting your potential to contribute to a college’s community. You seem to lack a single “passion” for one field, which Stanford in particular likes. Basically, it seems as if the top colleges now like people who are highly specialized, passionate about, and dedicated to one or two fields and who will bring that passion and dedication to their campuses. And when you write your essays, focus not on getting in but rather on representing yourself authentically. Adcoms seem good at judging sincerity, and the essays that stand out really are those in which students discuss things that matter to them in a writing style that reflects their own voice.
