This question is directed for Chris but I would like feedback from anyone :)

Hi Chris, what are my chances of getting in the scholars for med program if I have a 4.031 weighted gpa (3.922 unweighted) and my sat scores are 2040/2400 (1330/1600).
I took the sat on december 4 again, I think I did better. :)
I'm in the honor society and spanish honor society. I volunteered at a day care center for kids with special needs for 170 hours but I'm only a member of two clubs (secretary in both) and I am in no sports :(
I really want to get into the program. It's my dream school and #1 choice!
Thanks! :)

Unfortunately, it’s impossible to say. SfMed is extraordinarily competitive; it looks like you’re in the academic ballpark, but there’s quite a bit that goes into the decision to refer over to the med school. Good luck, though!

Note: don’t write “dream school” and “#1” choice in your personal statement. Pretty sure every student say’s that to every school they apply to.

You can do a little research and see what qualities of Stony Brook that are related to the program are exemplary and highlight that.
