I know that my U/W GPA is my biggest problem. My mom had a major injury in my sophomore year that put her in the hospital for 6 months. Therefore my freshman and junior GPA were around 3.8, while my sophomore GPA was 3.1. This was also the reason why I couldn't continue soccer for all four years.

Is it still possible for me to get into one of the Top 20 schools? Not to toot my own horn, but I think my weighted GPA is pretty high (please correct me if I'm wrong; don't have much perspective haha). Other than that, I have low expectations. Is there the slightest chance for me?

Thanks in advance.

Well you’re definitely not a shoe-in at any individual school in the top twenty, but I think that if you apply to enough of them, you’ll definitely get into some.

Low income helps. You need to explain your BAD GPA for top 20 colleges.

Top 20 colleges are reach schools for you.

Are top 30s more realistic?

bump 10 char

Not sure about the other top 20 schools, but for Berkeley, Northwestern, Rice and Emory = low reach
