for mathematics major</p>
<p>[I know HYPS, MIT are always reaches except for ppl like superman…, but I just wonder if I have an average or above average chance or w/e] </p>
<p>Nationality: Born in China. Lived in Sweden for 14 years now (Swedish citizen)</p>

<p>Large school in Gothenburg (sends students yearly to Cambridge and Oxford in UK, and once in a while to MIT)</p>
<p>I am an IB diploma candidate.
With a predicted grade 40 out of 42. (or 43 of 45 according to counsellor evaluation)

Good essays: Keep in mind I’m not an English major or anything fancy :P</p>
<p>I will only briefly mention my ECs, but they are above average, and I spend lots of time on them. Combination of sports, music, leadership/student government, and stuff that has to do with natural sciences/math [like tutoring, summer science school and crafting apparatuses].</p>
<p>Hook:
Started attending math courses at university at the age of 13… (10 courses total, beginning with Single Variable Calculus). </p>
<p>Other stuff:
Various school awards for excellent academic achievements.
Bronze medal at the International Mathematical Olympiad
Second place at the Swedish national math competition</p>
<p>No real work experience. Except for 3 weeks of compulsory internships during middle school; I worked as math teacher and material technician</p>
<p>Will be seeking financial aid.</p>
