Chances for UC Berkeley transfer?

Hi everyone,
I am a incoming 2nd year at UC Riverside, trying to put in my application this year to transfer to UC Berkeley.
Could you chance me?

Major: Political Science
GPA: 3.49
I have taken 3 classes at UC Berkeley (Summer Sessions): Astronomy, Modern Philosophy, and Nutritional Science.
EC: Hardly any, but I have some from High School if that means anything.
Personal Statement: In my opinion, it's Solid. I received help on my essay from a UCB Law School Student.

Would an internship with a state senator help a lot?

I thought you received some thoughtful and helpful responses.

I am sorry I was hoping for more opinions. just very nervous, sorry about that.

definitely a high reach for you

You’re going to need a higher GPA than what you have. You also need to complete all pre-reqs. Priority within transfer students is given to California community college students so you’ll be facing an uphill battle when you apply. The most important thing to do now is to get straight A’s this whole year and make your personal statement even better. If you can’t get a high enough GPA, you’ll at least have a positive grade trend, and admissions officers see upward curves as a good thing.

Best of luck to you.
