Chances for UCB, UCLA, UCSD

I am an Asian male from a middle class family. I attend public school in CA.

UC GPA : 4.21
1 b freshman yr in spanish 1st semester, 1 b in ap bio junior year 2nd semester, however that b should be changed to A, clerical error, explained in additional comments

SAT 2100 (just retook in Dec, predicting 2200+)
SAT II Biology 750
SAT II Math 800

AP World History 3
AP Biology 4
AP Calculus AB 5
AP Calculus BC (currently taking)
Ap English Literature (currently taking)
Psychology (at a local college)
Critical Reasoning (at a local college)
Statistics (at a local college)

ECs: No extracurriculars except for 1 Year JV Football as a freshman and a member of various clubs.

I think my personal statements are ok

what no 2300?

UCB - Reach
UCLA - Safety
UCSD - Super slight match

Uhhhh....

4.2 and a 2100 is roughly average for applicans admitted to UCLA and UCB. Therefore, you are a match for both and SD could almost be considered safety.

anyway

Ide say

UCB-match
UCLA-match
UCSD-low low match

What are the chances if combinations majors in Mechanical Engineering?

your chances look pretty good combinations. but if you were chinese, your chances wouldn't be as good.

You're in for all schools.

what about mechanical engineering? i have similar stats to him and i have heard that engineering is much harder to get into, especially at ucb, ucla and ucsd

does anyone else have an idea?

if you were to major in automotive repair (mechanical engineering)..

UCB: slight reach
UCLA: slight reach
UCSB: safety to reach

combinations:

UCB/UCLA: Match
UCSD: Safe Match

APs and college courses could help depending on how they turn out, but the complete lack of ECs hurt your stats which are otherwise in the range for a UCLA or UCSB.

If you don't get into the one you want, you could do the CCC transfer where GPA is most of what matters.

yeah
chances look really godo at all of them

ololol,

Since when was UCLA that much easier to get into than Cal? I think you're living in the 1960s. :p

UCLA/Cal: Match

even for mechanical engineering, hes a match?

combinations never specified engineering, someone else did.

well if he was mechanical engineering, what would his chances be theN?

combinations:

UCB/UCLA: Slight Reach (Engineering)
UCSD: Match (Engineering)

UCB/UCLA: Match
UCSD: Safe Match

UCB/UCLA (engineering): Slight Reach
UCSD (engineering): Match
