<p>what about mechanical engineering? i have similar stats to him and i have heard that engineering is much harder to get into, especially at ucb, ucla and ucsd</p>
<p>APs and college courses could help depending on how they turn out, but the complete lack of ECs hurt your stats which are otherwise in the range for a UCLA or UCSB.</p>
<p>If you don't get into the one you want, you could do the CCC transfer where GPA is most of what matters.</p>
