About-to-be-SUNY-community-college graduate (Associate of Arts) looking at Temple and UConn as an option as a school to apply for a Communications/Media Arts major.

Temple, even though I've been down to the area that campus is around many times, will be completely new to me but I did apply to UConn when I was a senior in high school and did get in... but not the major I applied for (Puppetry BFA) so I opted to go elsewhere.

My GPA as of now is a 2.8, just slightly below what seems to be the average GPA of transfers (3.1 according to the site), I'm taking some classes this semester to boost my GPA but 2.8 is what will be received on my application. I went to La Salle [just up the street from Temple] my first year but I don't have any information from back then.

I work basically full-time as a respite caregiver for a relative with developmental disabilities and lifeguard full-time at a town pool during the summer, doing pre-season work in March and April. Also, my film professor has offered to write me a letter of recommendation before and I'm certain I'll accept his offer.

I'm not sure if my high school stuff matters at this point, I'm not submitting my SAT scores and I can't for the life of me remember my high school GPA but I have been actively involved with extracurriculars from high school on (theater, film, track and field, etc.).
