<p>UCSD Jacobs Engineering Scholarship</p>
<p>I haven't found a lot of information on this scholarship. It certainly isn't very well publicized, considering it's a 4-year full ride to UC San Diego. To anyone who knows anything about this scholarship or has received it, chance me?</p>
<p>Applied Major:
-Computer Science (falls under Jacobs School of Engineering)</p>
<p>GPA:
-4.0 unweighted
-4.7 UC weighted, uncapped</p>
<p>SAT:
-2300 SAT I (800, 800, 700 writing)
-800 Math IIC, 800 Biology, 790 Chinese (lol)</p>
<p>APs:
-Computer Science A, 5
-numerous others, surely you do not want to read through them all!</p>
<p>Extracurriculars:
-no leadership positions, sadly...
-Abacus, reached the 10th (highest) level
-Art, was nominated in a couple PTSA reflection contents
-Piano, 10 on the CM exam</p>
<p>I think my extracurriculars are pretty weak, unless an admissions officer is stunned into silence by my mad abacus skills?</p>
<p>Volunteer:
Helping out my abacus teacher's beginner classes for 2~3 hours a week.</p>
<p>Essays:
Fairly weak. One described why technology was cool, another was getting over 1st grader's criticizing eyes (ok, maybe I was just imagining it) at an abacus class I was helping out with (...not my best essay, err)</p>
