<p>I plan on applying EA.</p>

<p>My unweighted GPA is low but I have a upward trend after 10th grade.</p>

<p>In-state applicant: I live in North Carolina</p>

<p>GPA unweighted before senior year: 3.5 </p>

<p>I’d say you have a decent chance at UCLA. the UC system tends to make it harder for out-of-state-applicants, so despite your good Standardized Testing Scores, the grades may make you look bad, but then again coursework is pretty good, and AP scores indicate you can handle them. If you have a hook: something cool that you do/build/have passion for you have better chances. Be sure to describe the significance of your clubs…most of them i have no idea what they mean. Incidentally are you an Eagle Scout?</p>
