<p>Hey Im ending my junior year and i was wondering what kind of colleges i should be looking into. I live in iowa and i was hoping to get significantly out of state. I was hopefully looking at USC, WPI, any UC, Harvey mudd?, or georgia tech. If you could also recommend one if you think any fit that would be greatly appreciated.</p>
<p>Stats:
ACT: 32 (i know its not so great i had an off day)
SAT: took in may (from SAT prep somewhere between 2100 and 2300)
GPA unweighted: 3.7
PSAT: 215 (enough for a national merit scholarship semifinalist in my state, Iowa)
AP's this year: Calc AB, APUSH, Physics B
AP's next year: Calc BC, AP Gov, Comp sci
class rank: top 25%
Extra Curriculars: Eagle scout in boy scouts. Started an FRC, two FTC, an FLL, an a junior FLL team, Captain of a team that was in the winning alliance in the Iowa state championship for ftc in the teams first year, jazz concert and marching band. president of hyperstream club for 2 years (a club started by the technology association of Iowa where a company teams up and mentors a school, our mentor is a robotics branch of John Deere that works on autonomous tractors and robotic vision.), NHS member, 2 time CNN political panelist</p>
<p>also i have three teachers (all published nationally in their field), a counselor, a principal, and a superintendant whom i have all worked closely with who would right stellar recommendations</p>
<p>Im looking into going into materials, or robotics engineering or a green technology type major</p>
<p>any help with whether im aiming too high or if you think you know a better college than the ones listed above please let me know. also if you know of any scholarships that are not national merit, FIRST program, ethnicity, or need based that would be great. i am not a minority nor do i qualify for need based aid and i am aware of colleges that give scholarships for national merit and first.</p>
