Chances for USC, Emory, and WUSTL (Sorry...but please)

Gpa 3.6 unweighted
3.83 junior year(upward trend)
Sat- 1550, 800 math, 750 english
APUSH-5
AP Physics 2- 5
Extracurricular- Youth Program and Math Team, 9,10,11, and 12
50 Volunteer hours at Newton Wellesely Hospital
Harvard Summer School course
Should have good essay and recs

All reaches, but none of them impossible with that SAT score.

If you aren’t applying for FA then I would say you have a decent chance at WUSTL, they have a tendency to accept more high SAT/low GPA types than most top 20s. The school is need-aware though, literally everyone I knew who applied there who needed FA was shafted, even if their stats were above average.

Excellent SAT score but low GPA and your extracurricular activities are lacking. Going to have to say they are all reaches but still a possibility if you write an excellent essay and get good recommendations. Applying ED will give you a better chance if you have a clear favorite.

USC-Low Reach/High Match
WUSTL- Low Reach/ Reach ( High SAT conscious)
Emory- Reach (GPA conscious)

My gpa is bad because of Spanish where I got b- and b all of high school and I have an upward trend. Is these factors taken into effect?

@lionking973 can you take more AP classes senior year, because right now what you have is not enough. How many AP classes does your school offer?

Yea I’m taking the most possible, 2 this year and 4 next year

@lionking973 Apply ED/ED1 to one of these schools, I’m sure you’ll get in if you did that, especially for Emory or USC. But only do this if you don’t need much fin aid.

I dont believe USC has ED.
